普通のストライプ柄かと思いきや、よく見てみると、ずれている・・・。糸を括って染めて柄をつくる、久留米絣の技法だからこそ生まれた、ずらしストライプの現代風MONPEです。

Ain’t a normal stripe

Look close, and you will see this is not a normal stripe. It has shifting gap stripe patterns, which is only possible because of the warp ikat technique of Kurume Kasuri, tying and dyeing the yarn to make blurry patterns.
