絣の概念を更新する板締めのikat
元・久留米絣の織元の宮田織物と共同で、絣特有の括りではなく、板染めという技法で染め分けた経糸を織り込み柄を作り、緯糸には2%ポリウレタンを入れることでストレッチ性のあるもんぺを開発。久留米絣の現代における概念を再考できるもんぺ。※この生地は久留米絣ではありません。
Updating the concept of ikat with space dye
The textile was made with Miyata Orimono, to challenge the concept of ikat in the modern context. The warp yarn is spaced dyed to create a ikat like pattern and 2% of polyurethane is added some stretch to the MONPE. (*This textile is not Kurume Kasuri)
