備後絣のレガシーを現代に転換する
備後絣の伝統から派生した新しい生地ブランド「備後節織」は、久留米絣(福岡)、伊予絣(愛媛)と並ぶ日本三大絣産地の1つだった備後絣のうち、残る2件の織元である森田織物・橘高兄弟商会と一緒に(有)番匠が新たに立ち上げた生地ブランドです。節のあるネップ糸と単糸をつかったボコボコした肌触り、旧式の広幅シャトル織機で織るふんわりとした風合いが特徴で、染料はインディゴ・墨・柿渋などです。
The legacy of Bingo Kasuri ikat
Bingo Fushiori is a textile brand which derived from the background of Bingo kasuri ikat textile. Bingo was one of the three largest production area of ikat textile in Japan. The new brand was founded by Bansho Inc. with the only two remaining weavers Morita Orimono and Kittaka Brothers & Corp. Bingo Fushiori is characterized by its use of neps yarn woven on shuttle looms, creating a soft and rustic texture. Made in solid colors, stripes, or warp ikat, dyed in indigo, sumi ink or persimmon tannin.
