Cotton mall / 綿モール – 久留米絣
モール糸を使ったMONPE。ふわっとした肌あたりで温かな着心地。
定番の久留米絣MONPEの中にも太い糸を使った厚地の生地がありますが、より肌寒い季節に着られる地厚で目の詰まった久留米絣をつくれないかと考え、綿モール糸*をよこ糸に使用した生地を考案しました。
フワッとした肌あたりであたたかな着心地が特徴です。久留米絣の風合いを保つことで、秋冬はもちろん年間を通じて穿ける風合いになっています。
＊モール糸 … 全体に毛羽のある糸。このMONPEに使っているモール糸は糸2本を毛羽となる別糸を挟むように撚糸し、その糸先をカットしています。
MONPE made with mohair yarn. It feels soft and warm against the skin.
The classic Kurume Kasuri MONPE fabric is made with thick threads, but we wondered if we could create a thicker, tightly woven Kurume Kasuri fabric that could be worn in chillier seasons, and came up with a fabric using cotton mohair thread* as the weft.
It has a soft, fluffy feel against the skin and is comfortable to wear. By maintaining the texture of Kurume Kasuri, it can be worn all year round, not just in autumn and winter.
